Nick Pulovski is a cop and he discovers that a man named Strom is the leader behind major car theft. Nick is given the task to investigate Storm, but after his partner is killed he is taken off the case.

David Ackerman is Nick’s new partner; he is a recently promoted plain-clothes detective in Los Angeles. David is blamed for his brother’s accident few years ago, and feels responsible for it.

Storm is responsible for the death of Nick’s former partner. Nick is kidnapped by Strom’s gang, and David Nick’s new partner has to rescue him. David has learned some police techniques from Nick and uses it now.
